Go Global Week 2012 is a celebration of global culture – so that means, alongside the cultural exchange and employability development opportunities on offer during the week, there will be lots of party events too!
As well as international food and drink on offer throughout the week at Zest, the Hive and the Union Pub, here are the highlights:
Mon 19th: Opening Ceremony: Come along and see dancers and music, and get involved!- 12.30pm in the Square
Tues 20th: Ceilidh!: Great fun & free, learn how to do a traditional Celtic dance! 7.30-10pm, LCR
Wed 21st: Go Global Party!: Formerly know as the International Party, this is the biggest event of the week! Traditional food and performances, then a disco! – 7.30-10pm, LCR, tickets £4.50. Also the Go Globalympics competition – compete for prizes! And the International Quiz!: Test your knowledge! 7pm, Nelson Court Common Room A, hosted by Senior Residents (look for posters in your halls!)
Thurs 22nd: Roller Disco! Disco on roller skates? Yes please! – 7-11pm, Funky’s in the City Centre (£5 tickets from the Dean of Students Office from 19th March). And Fun around the Broad: Meet at Norfolk & Suffolk Terrace at 1pm (contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info!)
Sat 24th: Kingdom of Characters – After Hours Party!: http://scr.bi/zpfiqV – 6pm-Midnight, Sainsbury’s Centre For Visual Arts (Booking recommended, call 01603 593199. Tickets £8 concessions/£10)
