Go Global Week 2012 is about celebrating global culture, so why not discover art and culture from around the world?

On Wednesday 21st March you can attend the seminar about Exploring international art and cultural influences on creativity: Seminar – 11-1pm, Registry Committee Room 1 (write to james.ferguson@uea.ac.uk to book a place!). Later that evening, there will be a fantastic debate between PSI lecturers, hosted by PSI Society, called the PSI Debate! A debate about Syria, the EU and more! – 5pm, Arts 01.02.

If you want to find out about global human rights issues then on Thursday we have the Human Rights Night! A night of education about global human rights issues…and cake! – 7-10pm in the Hive (contact r.rawle@uea.ac.uk for more info!)

Check out the guest lecture by Dr Vassiliki Koutrakou on Thursday on South East Europe – After the Crisis at 5pm, Arts 3.01 (contact v.koutrakou@uea.ac.uk for more info).

On Saturday there is a lecture by Helen Anagnostopoulou  at 4pm in LT1 called Voices from Greece: Celebratory year for the city of Thessaloniki, marking 100 years since its liberation and incorporation in the Greek State.

There are two exhibitions at the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts throughout the week, both free for students:

Kingdom of Characters: Major exhibition celebrating the growing interest in Japanese subcultures. Tues 20th-Sun 25th, Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts.
