Schools Engagement: Child Protection and Safeguarding Training

Are you interested in taking your society into schools and running workshops?

The Outreach team runs a huge variety of events for Primary and Secondary students both in schools and on visits to campus. If you would like to gain experience working with young people, and share your club or society with the community we would like you and your members to run a 50 minute session of your choice as part of our events. Whether it is on campus or at a school we can offer guidance, training and materials within reason to help you deliver these sessions. Your club or society will also receive a £30 donation for each session you deliver.

If you or your members are interested in going into schools, you will need to attend a Child Protection and Safeguarding training session. This lasts around 25 minutes, and is also a chance to find out more about schools engagement. The following sessions are taking place, there is no need to book just turn up:

  • Tuesday 29th October 6pm Thomas Paine Study Centre 0.1
  • Tuesday 5th November 6pm Thomas Paine Study Centre 1.1
  • Monday 11th November 12pm ARTS 4.16

Please email hannah.robinson@uea.ac.uk for more information and a booking form.
