Possible disruption of services at UEA this Thursday

Students are advised that Trade Union members may be taking industrial action on February 6 as part of a national dispute relating to a recent pay settlement.

The University will remain open throughout this period and will endeavour to minimise disruption wherever possible. However, it is recognised that some individual teaching events may need to be cancelled or rescheduled.

Although the full impact of action on the university is not currently known, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts may be closed for security reasons, and the library will be operating on a largely self-service basis. Otherwise, it is expected to cause minimal disruption.

Students are asked to regularly check their UEA email account and their modules’ Blackboard site for individual cancellations or changes. If in doubt about lectures or seminars, you should contact your Hub. For contact details, see http://www.uea.ac.uk/learningandteaching/hubs.
