The Union of UEA students has negotiated a contract for 4 volunteers for each festival to work between Thursday 21st – Sunday 25th August.

What do you get out of it?

  • Free admission to the festival of your choice, Reading or Leeds;
  • 2 meal vouchers per day and drink vouchers;
  • Free camping in a secure campsite with showers, toilets, canteen and bar;
  • Free time around your shifts to have fun and enjoy the festival;
  • Transports costs provided.

In return, you will be required to work a bar shift of between 4 and 8 hours per day.

Fancy something local? 30 volunteers are needed to work at Latitude Festival, in Southwold (Suffolk), from Thursday 17th July – Sunday 20th July.

 What do you get out of it?

  • Free admission to Latitude
  • Free camping in the staff campsite
  • Free evenings to have fun and enjoy the festival

In return, you will be required to be in a campsite giving information to festival goers for 6 hours a day over 4 days. The shifts will be between 9am and 6pm, leaving you free to enjoy the evening’s entertainment.

Can it get any better?

Yes it can! There is also the opportunity for 5 students from the School of Music to shadow sound engineers during the festival to gain experience and insight into what goes on backstage.

These opportunities are opened to ALL students and might give you the chance to see your favourite bands, build up your CV with new skills and have a good time!

Interested? Email v.cook@uea.ac.uk for an application form or for more info. Applications for Latitude festival close on Friday 2nd May and those for Reading and Leeds close on Friday 23rd May.
