Where: The Forum in Norwich
When: Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th May, 9pm – 5pm
Why: To celebrate all things UEA
The Events Team at UEA are looking for clubs and societies to be involved in a public event called ‘UEA Campus in the City’, which will take place in The Forum, Norwich on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th May 2014. The event is a follow-up to the ‘UEA Forum Showcase Week’, which many of you were involved with last year.
The event will focus on public engagement, and will give UEA and the Students’ Union a chance to show off the work we do, providing an insight into campus life and the varied activities, research and interests of our staff and students. Last year many students set up stalls in the Atrium or performed demos outside on the Plain, in glorious sunshine! We’d love to have plenty of student clubs and societies with us again, representing the University. As with any of these events, the bigger, more visual and interactive your activity the better! The event could also be a good way to promote your society to a wider audience.
Alongside the Students’ Union, UEA academics will be hosting free public lectures downstairs in The Forum throughout both days, and Café Conversations will be running in Café Bar Marzano and the Millennium Library.
Options for involvement:
- 30 minute Performances and sports demonstrations for outside The Forum in the Amphitheatre
- Stands for clubs and societies to provide engaging, interactive activities inside
- Enterprise stands – 4 lucky students will get the opportunity to set up shop, selling their products as a mini market stall for the day
