Elect/Become an Officer

To be elected!

WHAT ARE OFFICERS?

Union members (that’s you!) elect a new team of Student Officers in the Spring Term of every year. Four are employed full-time by the Union, and thirteen are part-time volunteer positions.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

They are here to improve your time at UEA. Officers work to fulfil their manifesto pledges and respond to membership feedback, and are also responsible for making sure that Union policy, voted for by Council, is made reality.

HOW DO I BECOME AN OFFICER?

We have a snazzy blog called ueastudentelections.com where you can find out about the elections that are currently happening at the Union and meet the candidates running. Voting is also online and is very quick and easy. Just go to vote.ueastudent.com.
